It is hard to argue that David Lynch is anything but unique, one of a kind. Whether you love or loathe his nightmare imagery and camp humor, you have to agree that his films tend to have an impact on how you feel. Disturbed or excited, most of us never leave a David Lynch film feeling the same as we did before. But apart from reaching into the depth of the darkest place inside our minds and hearts, his works also showcase a great deal of technical skill and for that he deserves our respect.
If you’re interested in seeing David Lynch’s first legendary cult horror film or some of his early shorts, head to BFI Southbank in London tonight. Or mark up 7th of Feb in your calendars – that would be your second chance in case you’re already booked for this evening.
